Sportika · Quality Report and Formal Complaint

Quality is demonstrated.Dissatisfaction is documented.

A formal statement about my experience as a member, the shortcomings I have observed, and the refund I am requesting from Sportika’s Management.

Ricardo Santiago Bravo Cuevas · Kalki
Addressed to Sportika’s Management and to Gisselle, Member Services.

I hereby place on record my profound dissatisfaction with the management and the service I have experienced at Sportika. I purchased a membership expecting exclusivity, order, attentive service and access to the facilities. In my judgement, those expectations have not been met.

I reiterate my gratitude to Gisselle for her personal attention. This complaint is neither an attack on her nor a blanket criticism of the staff. My dissatisfaction concerns administrative decisions, conditions of use and requests that, in my experience, have not received an adequate response.

Silence does not resolve a complaint. A high membership fee calls for a corresponding standard of service and a clear response from management.

My company has asked me for a Quality Report. I do not wish to attend the Club to monitor staff or look for mistakes: I attended to train. On 5 September 2026 I vacated locker 158A and ceased attending. I request that the termination of my membership be formally recorded.

My concerns

01

A summer programme that interrupted my training

During a private boxing lesson, a group of approximately twenty-five children suddenly entered the gym. I consider such an interruption unacceptable for someone who has paid for a service and expects to train in orderly conditions.

Furthermore, when I tried to pay by card at “Muro”, I was told that the card terminal was being used for the summer programme. A club for which I pay approximately £150 per month must ensure uninterrupted service for its members.

02

Swimming lanes and an unanswered complaint

I submitted a specific complaint about mothers attempting to reserve swimming lanes. I requested a response and received none. Rules of use must be clear, known and enforced by the Club; they cannot be left at the mercy of individual demands.

03

Group activities taking over the gym

A trainer whose name I do not know — someone other than Daniel López — brings together large groups of women for exercises that, in my opinion, could take place in another room. These activities interfere with those of us wishing to use the gym.

According to information I have received, the situation has reportedly already been raised. I have not observed an effective solution. It is for Management to clarify what measures it has taken.

04

Insufficient consideration for those of us who need our trainers

Daniel López and Francisco Vital were the main reason I remained at the Club. I expressly acknowledge their work and support.

As I understand it, Daniel has been suspended for several days over instances of lateness that I consider minor. Without claiming knowledge of his employment record, I question the impact these absences have on members such as myself, who rely on his guidance. I request arrangements that ensure continuity of service.

05

A professional proposal left unanswered

I submitted a letter offering language services to Management. I received no response, not even an acknowledgement or a courtesy reply. I am not claiming that the proposal had to be accepted; I am pointing out the lack of attention.

06

“Under maintenance” for months

According to my observations, the “EN MANTENIMIENTO” (“UNDER MAINTENANCE”) sign has been at the entrance for months. First impressions are also part of the service. Maintaining this provisional appearance is inconsistent with the standard I expected of the Club.

07

Overcrowding and unfair access to equipment

On a visit at nine in the morning, I found the gym completely overcrowded. I observed several women occupying machines without sufficient consideration for those of us waiting. This experience gave me the impression of unequal treatment.

My request is precise: reasonable time limits, rotation and equal rules for men and women. No user should behave as though they automatically take priority over everyone else.

08

Swimming and respect for my convictions

Because of my beliefs and my personal religious consecration, I find it very uncomfortable to swim alongside women and, particularly, minors. I request that this need be accommodated through options for separate times, lanes or spaces, consistent with respect for all users.

I am not asking for anyone to be treated without dignity. I am asking for arrangements that allow me to swim in accordance with my convictions.

09

A voucher booklet that never arrived

The voucher booklet I expected to receive was never made available to me. I request a specific explanation regarding this outstanding offer.

10

Higher attendance does not mean better service

I have the impression that the volume of children’s activities has been prioritised over the experience of adult members who pay their membership fees. In my original account, I stated that those children did not pay; I do not have information about the fees the Club charges their families, so my complaint focuses on the use of the facilities.

I consider it necessary for minors to have their own areas and schedules, with supervision and cleanliness and hygiene rules, without occupying or disrupting other members’ training areas. My complaint concerns the disruption and standards of cleanliness I have observed, not the worth or dignity of minors.

I request a refund of the September membership fee and the portion of the locker fee corresponding to September, October, November and December.

The locker fee was paid on 30 June 2026 at a reference amount of 65.71 GBP for July to December. I used it during July and August; it was vacated on 5 September. I request a refund for the four remaining months.

Calculation references: 149.38 GBP for membership — approximately 150 GBP — plus 43.80 GBP for the locker, totalling 193.18 GBP. The amounts in pounds and their equivalent in pesos come from my claim; they do not represent a verified exchange-rate quotation. The amount claimed in pesos is $4,410.00 MXN. I request that the breakdown be reconciled with the payment receipts.

Bank details will be provided to Management through a private channel.

What I request from Management

  1. Written confirmation of receipt of this complaint and of the recording of my membership termination.
  2. Confirmation that locker 158A has been vacated.
  3. A specific written response to the points raised, with the relevant explanations or measures.
  4. A refund of the $4,410.00 MXN requested as soon as possible, stating in writing the refund date or the grounds for any disagreement.

I do not consider it necessary to replace this complaint with an informal conversation. My position and request have already been stated. I do not wish to prolong the matter through meetings or verbal negotiations: I request a documented resolution.

A firm complaint, not a threat

I place on record my displeasure with the Club without resorting to insults, violence or intimidation. Composure does not imply acceptance or a waiver of my right to complain.

I have informed my legal advisers in Germany of the situation; to my knowledge, they are familiar with Mexican law. My intention is to obtain a resolution through Management before considering any formal avenues that may be appropriate. I do not assert in this report that a criminal offence has occurred or that any authority has determined liability.

I reserve the option of sharing my experience on X, Instagram and Facebook and making this report available to international readers. Any assessment must distinguish between facts, information received and personal opinions. Sportika’s response, should I receive one, must also be reflected accurately.

The refund request and the public assessment of the service are separate matters: I am not offering a favourable review in exchange for money, nor do I make the truthfulness of this report dependent on the outcome of the complaint.

I am not asking for vague assurances. I am asking for a written response, a clear resolution and the refund of the funds claimed.

Yours faithfully,

Ricardo Santiago Bravo Cuevas
